Thursday, August 2, 2018 — Back to school shopping is upon us. For many Ottawa families it’s time to stock up on supplies school year ahead. However, for some families this is a time of financial stress because they can’t afford the supplies their children need to succeed. Here’s where you can help!
Alongside local Staples, Scotiabank, and Bridgehead locations, the OCH Foundation raises funds to purchase backpacks filled with school supplies. Those backpacks are distributed to the various OCH community houses where they are picked up by the kids who need them.
Donations help buy essential school supplies
Donations are used to purchase essential school supplies including:
- Geometry sets
- Pens and pencils

And much more!
All of the supplies are packed into brand new knapsacks and distributed to families living in Ottawa Community Housing communities.
