National Hockey League invests in children living in Ottawa Communty Housing

Tuesday, January 2, 2018 — The National Hockey League has selected the OCH Foundation to be one of several recipients of corporate gift cards in connection with the culmination of the NHL’s Centennial Celebration in Ottawa for the 2017 Scotiabank NHL100 Classic on Saturday, December 16. The OCH Foundation received $25,000 in corporate gift cards and will use the funds to purchase sports equipment for children living in OCH communities.

“We are very grateful for the NHL’s incredible act of generosity towards the children and youth living in low-income communities in Ottawa,” said Wayne French, Chair of the OCH Foundation Board of directors. “This donation will ensure that hundreds of children get the equipment they need to play the sports they love. What a great gift for the holiday season.”
