Ottawa Community Housing Foundation’s 11th Annual Golf Tournament Sets Record, Raising $117,065 to Support Vital Community Programs

Ottawa, ON26 September – The Ottawa Community Housing (OCH) Foundation is thrilled to announce the resounding success of its 11th Annual Golf Tournament, which raised a record-breaking $117,065. This achievement marks the highest total ever raised in the tournament’s history, pushing the overall funds generated by the event over the years to well above $700,000.

These funds will directly impact tenants living within OCH communities by supporting critical programs such as recLINK (which ensures access to recreation), education bursaries through the Inspired by Learning initiative, Tomorrow Ready aid drops, and the Hop on Bikes program that provides children, youth and adults with bicycles. Additionally, this success allows the Foundation to expand its capacity, meeting the growing needs of the community and ensuring more residents benefit from our programs.

“The unprecedented support we’ve received this year will enable us to further invest in our programs, empowering tenants to thrive through education, recreation, and essential aid. Each of these individuals and families has their own story, their own struggles, and their own dreams. And it’s our privilege—to stand beside them, to lift them up, and to ensure they have the resources and opportunities they need to thrive. The work we do isn’t just about providing housing; it’s about building a foundation for a better future.” said Melissa Reeves, Chair of the OCH Foundation.
