Media Advisory: Kiwanis Club of Ottawa Foundation’s: Generosity Rolls In: OCH Foundation to Receive $50,000 boost to Support Children’s Access to Sport

November 25, 2023 | Ottawa, ON– A $50,000 donation from the Kiwanis Club of Ottawa Foundation to the Ottawa Community Housing Foundation’s recLINK program has provided access to enriching arts, sports and recreation activities.

recLINK supports children living in Ottawa Community Housing communities by assisting families in finding grants to participate in extracurricular activities. The program also supports the Pop-In Play events – which brings programming to residents where they live, and offers children a chance to try out recreation, sport and art programming.

The funding announcement will take place with some of the children who will be impacted by the donation. Children from OCH’s Lebreton Flats community will get a chance to strap on a pair of roller-skates and have fun with friends.

When: November 25th from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Where: 4 Wheelies Ottawa Roller Skate Centre (1101 Baxter Road)
