Purpose

Ottawa Community Housing Foundation (OCH Foundation) uses social media as an extended arm’s reach of its traditional communications. Individuals or organizations who follow OCH Foundation on social media can expect to see the following, but not limited to, newsworthy events and multimedia involving OCH Foundation; the OCH Foundation’s initiatives and programs; and, notifications that may affect tenants living in OCH communities.

 

Interaction

To protect your privacy and the privacy of others, please remember to not include any personal information, including names, addresses, phone numbers and e-mail addresses in your comments or replies.

Unfortunately, the OCH Foundation is unable to reply individually to all messages it receives via its social media networks. We encourage you to contact us via email at info@ochfoundation.ca.

In the spirit of respectful, ongoing communication, the following behaviours are deemed unacceptable and can be deleted without notice if/when they occur. The following will not be tolerated:

  • Offensive, profane, hateful, abusive, aggressive, pornographic, defamatory or discriminating language of any kind
  • Content that promotes, fosters, perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, age, gender, creed, marital status, socio-economic status, physical or mental disability, or sexual orientation
  • Content that encourages illegal activity
  • Impersonation or misrepresentation
  • Serious or unproven accusations
  • Spam

 

Follows and Likes

OCH Foundation may follow and like social media accounts from its community partners, sponsors, funders, interested groups or other relevant sources. Please note that being followed or liked by the OCH Foundation does not imply endorsement of any kind.

 

Availability

OCH Foundation updates and monitors its social media accounts during regular business hours. Comments from users outside of these times will be reviewed at the beginning of the next business day. Posts may be issued outside regular business hours under extraordinary circumstances or if populated by a scheduler.
