The OCH Foundation is thrilled to celebrate the success of our 12th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, held on September 16, 2025, at Greyhawk Golf Club. Thanks to the generosity and enthusiasm of our community, we raised an incredible $135,516 – our highest total ever! We were also proud to welcome 228 golfers, marking the largest turnout in the tournament’s history. With this year’s results, the Golf Tournament has now raised more than $800,000 in total to support the Foundation’s work.
Moved by the overwhelming support for the tournament, Traci Spour-Lafrance, Executive Director of the OCH Foundation, said, “Ottawa Community Housing is home to more than 33,000 tenants, or one in every fifteen people in our city. At the OCH Foundation, we work to ensure that living in OCH is the start of a brighter future. Your support today makes that possible. You’re helping us fund programs that connect kids to recreation opportunities, support families with food and household essentials when times get tough and help individuals access mentorship, post-secondary education and career opportunities. Today isn’t just about golf. It’s about ensuring that living in OCH is the start of a brighter future.”

Every year, this tournament provides funds that are critical for sustaining and growing programs like recLINK, which connect children and youth living in OCH communities to recreational and social opportunities. From sports leagues to skill-building activities, these programs help young people build confidence, make lasting friendships, and thrive in supportive environments.
Echoing the impact of the tournament, Melissa Reeves, Chair of the OCH Foundation Board of Directors, reflected on the difference this support makes: “For so many of us, riding a bike, signing our kids up for swimming lessons, or putting fresh vegetables on the dinner table are everyday things we take for granted. But for many tenants living in Ottawa Community Housing, these are unfortunately considered luxuries – out of reach without help. That’s where the OCH Foundation steps in. Our dream is that one day, we will be able to help every tenant living in OCH, who comes to us for support. We have a long way to go to make that a reality. But, the first step on that journey starts with your support today.”
