April 15th 2026 (Ottawa, ON) – The Ottawa Community Housing Foundation invites media to attend an announcement marking a $784,000 investment through Future Skills Centre to support Build Your Path, a new construction training program for residents of Ottawa Community Housing (OCH).
As Ottawa continues to grow and the demand for skilled construction workers increases, Build Your Path will provide residents of OCH with hands‑on training and industry‑recognized skills aimed at preparing participants for employment in the construction sector.
Delivered by the Ottawa Community Housing Foundation, with Algonquin College and La Cité as training partners. OCH Foundation’s Build Your Path program is an adoption of Blue Door’s Construct Canada skills training program. Build Your Path is funded by the Government of Canada’s Future Skills Program.
