Tuesday, August 29, 2023 — August 30th 2023 | Ottawa, ON – The OCH Foundation will be unveiling the recLINK mural painted on one of their shipping containers that stores equipment for their programs. recLINK breaks down barriers to equitable participation in recreation for children and families living in OCH neighborhoods.
The mural was led by artist Kseniya Tsoy and OCH tenant Polina Plakhova. They guided a group of 15 children and youth from various OCH communities through designing and painting the mural. “We are so proud of the beautiful results that highlight several aspects of the recLINK program which connects children and youth to quality recreation programs at no cost to OCH families” says Angela Bégin, Executive Director.
This mural project was made possible through the Vibrant and Sustainable Fund and the Elizabeth A. Mundell Fund, which are administered by the Ottawa Community Foundation.
